The starting point for CSR work is often the wish to work with sustainable development. At the same time the authorities are establishing guidelines and regulations within this area so that there are several reasons behind a well defined CSR strategy today.
Some companies also wish to utilize their CSR projects in their PR and in their work to build and strengthen their image. CSR is also used in internal and external communication to build up loyalty around own targets and objectives.
Improved health through the intake of safe drinking water is no longer a debatable issue. The key is to develop projects in a sustainable way thereby enabling targeted communities to assume ownership of projects and ultimately sustain themselves, and last but not least, conserving the environment.
In practical terms, our EmWat Kit 4000, originally developed as a water supply system for rapid deployment in emergency scenarios, has now evolved into a Community Water System (CWS), suitable for use in permanent and formal situations.

- A company can donate a complete CWS to a village and thereby assuring safe drinking water to the entire village
A CSR project can either be installed and administered by the company itself or it can be administered by a NGO working in the area where the company wishes to have their CSR project. Scan-Water can assist in finding the right organization or NGO.
